this is the show that I had been working up to for a while..I was really excited, it'd be cool if one or two of them would sell.
then I would be super excited again, but this gallery charges $50 just to submit anything, so ..thats kinda lame..

I miight do one more. By now they have probably arrived at the APW gallery in new york.. I really hope they take LOTS of pictures!
The show opens March 6, 09. over 500 artists participating... that is a lot!
I hope the colors show up ok on your screens..

so these are my paintings for the apw show, they are each pretty much finalized.
about vices or bad habbits we have, I still haven't titled each of them individually.
The violet one isnt finished yet, I added a patch I'm not done with that area.
Getting anxious about mailing them off again, I worked so hard on them..even if i didnt get them back because they sold..I really like them, i get attached. But whatever goes on, it will be good!
sides painting now too, for some reason i left this part till the end.

these are the three vice paintings Ive completed so far, I'm going to begin working on the fourth one soon. I'm kindof afraid to mail them off now..What if they get ruined.. what I cant get them back.. or even, what if they sell and i never see them again!
I still have a hard time parting with my paintings sometimes.. but mostly I just get really excited!
the middle painting is a man putting lipstick on.
p.s. I just listed a print of the girl in yellow in my shop.

I'm finally able to sort of share the second painting of the series im working on. Its a low quality photo that I took with my laptop webcam.. I cant find the cord to get pictures off my real camera.
he is a gambler and worries people are trying to look at his cards.
I'll show a better picture soon. its oil on a square foot canvas.
p.s. Etsy wished me a happy birthday yesterday! and it was a good birthday..I think they just keep getting better ..as I find myself more each year.
I have some pictures, I hope I find my camera usb cord soon.
I dont usually have many pictures of anything fun, but this year I have some nice ones of my birthday..
I always really like pictures,,but havent been used to taking them.. i want to take more from now on. :)

*Illustration Friday - PretendI didn't make specifically for Illustration Friday again. But again, i think it fits. I can see this girl being a person you can describe as pretending to be OK all the time. When she drinks and ..or gulps down pills, she feels okay. obviously thats not a way to fix things though.

its about drinking and drugs.. the other ones will be money, sex, food, and the last one i forget :P
I completed this painting in 3 days, over the course of a week. I'm really happy that I painted it this quickly! Usually I'll get distracted and start other paintings before finishing the first ones.

++++ I'm still painting, of course! I'm working on a painting that I'm kind of excited about. Its for an artist I know, I like his work very much. Its a tribute to his work..in my 'style' . it is just about finished, but is still a secret!
I'll share it with you, once I have shared it with the artist!
++++ Also, I got invited to participate in show by Apw through flickr. And I will be submitting, or mailing to them, up to five paintings. there was an entry fee so I am guaranteed to show, I just have to make some square foot paintings! they are located in NYC! feels exciting.
