a couple of the past days Ive been working on this Doll.
her top is yellow,..it kind of blends in with her skin. Im gonna add some darker colors in it though!
She will be fully oil painted, and will be wearing a bathing suit, ready for summer. She will be in my shop when finished. :)

Yesterday I got to see Barack Obama! he came to ASU to give a commencement speech. it was really great. His speech was really good & inspiring. :)
I got a video of alll the people that were there..and how many flashes were going off when he came out.
but, i dont think flickr likes my video.

this dolly was listed in my shop today! I really love her.. spending a bit of extra time to paint details to her body really adds a lot.
My new ones will all now pretty much have this extra level of detail to them.
++++ I have a few surprise dolls that I'm working on, I'm not sure when I will be finished with them, and sharing them here..
I'm working on finishing my paintings for APW. I'm going on 'vacation' this next week leaving friday night.. its not really a vacation, I'm just going with my friend to visit his family.. I get to see snow..and possibly ski! I'm excited for that, anyway..this whole trip means that I have to finish my paintings early! But I'm making it work ..cutting it kinda close. they have to dry and be scanned before i can mail them off on friday and im still painting (using Rapid Dry medium though)!
But I am also VERY excited that I'm finishing them finally. They're coming out really good. I'll share those with you by friday. 
oh yeah, so the surprise dolls, they might have to get finished after I come back on the weekend of the 21st. but im excited for those too!! :D

| Doll 34 & New Things |

Hello :)
i haven't been very productive this past week, or been blogging either. I do have a few paintings to share with you. But I'll do that at a later time.
Today i listed this very yellow plaid doll in my shop! I really like her :) she kind of looks like a Mimi.
++++I have a few new things planned, one is about dolls.. I'm working on making a new pattern, a new friend for these girls. ;)
++++ Today, and for probably days to come, I want to work on some nice drawings, and I plan on putting up the original for sale in my shop. This will be a nice change, and break, from my usual painting.
++++ and Ill be starting the third painting in my 'vices' series soon, and I'm really quite excited!
I'll be sharing the second one about 'gambling/money' soon!
[The vices paintings are the paintings that I'll be sending to apw for the square foot show in March]

Here's a picture of Doll 37 hanging out with some of her doll pals . She is listed in my shop, and keep an eye out for more dolls to be listed on the way! [I know.. youve seen her pals before, hang tight while I find her new pals to hang out with, they just look really cute together :P]
here's a close up of the striped one, which is doll number 37
i think her face is very cute, and she might be the happiest of my dolls.
++++ Doll Archive - its not finished yet, I just need to continue gathering pictures from where i can find them..
It will be a picture of every doll I have made, with the exception of a few that got sold before i was able to photograph them. the pictures will eventually be clickable and you'll be able to browse through them like you can through my paintings and drawings sections.

i should make a label thingy to attach to the top part of their baggies.. maybe.

I have been staying really productive recently, it feels great.
++++ working on this painting, still in progress, more detailing and rendering needed.
My goal with it was just to make something really cute ..and I like the idea of giant animals.
Framed prints of it will be available at First Friday [this week]!
++++ also, here is a current view of where my dollies sit waiting to be worked on.
If all goes as planned, this will be my biggest batch of dolls! might consist of thirteen.
They will end up traveling to First Friday this week first, and then to the craft show the Saturday after.
Ones that are still available will then be listed on my etsy throughout the next days :)
Note to self: remember to take pictures and add each doll to archive.
++++ I'm also working on a vinyl painting for spraygraphic, it is ALMOST finished!..the deadline is coming up, I need to finish it super soon! but the painting is looking good.. i'm excited for it. excited that my painting will be in a local group art show!

| Holiday Art Affair - Craft Show |

This event is taking place in Chandler, AZ. I'm so excited that I was told about this (I don't think I've thanked them enough)!
This will be my first official craft show. even though I do first fridays every month, I dont have a tent.
So I'm now in search of one. I want to hang some of my dolls and art on the 'walls' of my booth, kind of like ( this )
I guess maybe I get some sort of board, and hang it, and from that hang my stuff? [If you have an ideas or can help with how to do this please to let me know!] :)
I'm picturing lots of artwork and all my dolls ...I hope it turns out really well, and that my booth looks cute and pretty! :P
p.s. Here's a look at some of the doll stuff I worked on today! Notice the red and white-stripped one.. really cute!
and there's an already finished doll ..visiting with her in-progress friends. :)

++++ I'm still painting, of course! I'm working on a painting that I'm kind of excited about. Its for an artist I know, I like his work very much. Its a tribute to his work..in my 'style' . it is just about finished, but is still a secret!
I'll share it with you, once I have shared it with the artist!
++++ Also, I got invited to participate in show by Apw through flickr. And I will be submitting, or mailing to them, up to five paintings. there was an entry fee so I am guaranteed to show, I just have to make some square foot paintings! they are located in NYC! feels exciting.

Hello! If you pay attention to my blog, you might remember reading that there was going to be a shop update early this week!
Well, Im running late on that! Its already Wednesday! But I'd like to share with you my progress! I don't usually update my shop with multiples dolls all at once! ..so hopefully this works out. These are all around 9 inches tall, not including their ears!  Also, I am going to have a sort of offer.
